Wendell Berry was once asked how we can promote things that are good and true and beautiful in our age of division. He replied: “Find two things that belong together and put them back together—two things, not all things.” I have found my vocation in that reply.

Most of my creative work appears in the context of friendship. If you’re also someone who is trying to make beautiful things, to speak good and true words, to put two things back together, I’d love to hear what you’re working on.

I’m best at things that involve writing, editing, strategy, or creative direction. I’m available to speak at your class or conference or retreat. I only guest preach at churches in Chicagoland that don’t have multiple pastors already.
